This is a cylinder repair sleeve I acquired over 20 years ago when I was running a TE27 bored out to 2L. At the time, I was told it was a sleeve to be used when the cylinder could not be reused during an OH (overhaul) after boring a 2TG block and fitting 88.5φ pistons. However, since the sleeve inner diameter is 87.5mm, it is unclear at this time whether compatible pistons are available. It is also unknown whether the sleeve can be bored out to accept 88.5φ pistons, given that the sleeve wall thickness is 2.45mm. Whether it is usable in a 2TG block is not certain.
