With over 20 years since the S14 Silvia was released, sensor component failures are possible. This coolant temperature sensor is one such part. When the coolant temperature sensor fails, it sends incorrect information to the ECU (Engine Control Unit), which can cause engine malfunction or in the worst case, failure to start.
