It only responds when the engine is stopped (ACC off or engine key is removed), so even if the vehicle has speed-linked door lock function, the mirror will not open/close with this function. If you manually close and then lock the door after stopping the engine, automatic opening will not occur on subsequent unlocking. This device is designed to prevent the mirror from opening unintentionally when parking in tight spaces. For vehicles with a fixed manual mirror open/close switch in either position, it can also be set to operate in conjunction with ACC (IG for Honda vehicles) instead of unlock linkage.
